About Me

I am an experienced registered teacher with a passion for supporting students in all aspects of Literacy, particularly Dyslexia.

At Fullarton House, I facilitate explicit and structured sessions following the Multi-Sensory Playberry Dyslexia Program, which has its origins in the evidence-based Orton-Gillingham approach. In addition to this, I provide tailored individual support, as required.

I also work as a classroom teacher in a highly structured setting, involving individual and small group support. This provides me with transferrable knowledge relevant to both roles and an opportunity to keep up to date with current teaching practices.

My teaching experience of working with diverse learners and the training I have completed in ‘Teaching Students with Dyslexia’, underpins the structure of my sessions.

I am fortunate enough to work with a range of specialists at Fullarton House who are like-minded people and it provides an opportunity to support each other in our goal to help students reach their full potential, based on evidence-based practices.

As well as developing literacy skills, my sessions also support a student’s organisational skills and well-being. I aim to create a positive, supportive and fun learning environment with opportunities for success. This contributes to the self-esteem of the student and in turn promotes learning.

Please contact me to discuss how I can best support your child in their learning.
